So I have been a H.P. Lovecraft kind of fan, and I read "Dagon" a little while back, so I decided to practice something more or less fast with that theme on mind. For me, Lovecraft's creatures and gods are conceptually living creatures, ruled by biological principles, but with certain attributes, namely the hability to alter the human brain functions, driving to insanity those who come in contact whit the thoughts of the elder gods. Who wouldn't go crazy, having seen a god in the middle of the ocean and not been able to prove it to anybody?
I'm not sure if HP ever said that the horror the guy saw actually was the Mesopotamian Dagon, but, the guy named it "Dagon" because it reminded him of Dagon's description (a humanoid fish).
-- I just noticed something. You have super powers. That is so cool. Can you fly?
But back to the pic, it's amazing. I love most of the Lovecrafts stories, and ALL of the Lovecrafts beasts, gods, and creatures (Maybe except for 'Fungi from Yuggoth'. HELO?! Fungi?!).
I really like the "abyss-fish" lights in the creaturs flank, I remember the monolith's petroglyph showin this beign figthing a whale also, but it's nice the extraterrestrial look
